Interior Designing Software For Beginners.

Interior Designing Software For Beginners.

In interior design, people use different types of software at every stage of designing and managing their projects.
There are different software for drafting the floorplan, enhancing the project photos, rendering 3D models for projects, making project estimates and quotations.

Today we will discuss the abridged version of the most popular software for beginners. Before starting the list of our favorite software we rely upon the most, we would like to add that most of the software in the list are available free for the students or free for a limited period by signing up into their websites.

Every design starts with a simple sketch on paper that is the purest form of the idea that becomes reality with software’s help to give life to the project.

  • Software for Drafting: To draft the floor plan we practice AutoDesk AutoCAD, this software has the capability of doing very complex geometries with ease. AutoCAD is generally used by many industry professionals like architects, interior designers, fashion designers, and automobile designers. Once you learn these software commands and tricks, it is very easy to use and has fast drafting time.
  • Software for photo editing: Photos are a very important part of interior design they make a pretty place look even more beautiful. Photo enhancing can be used on-site photos or in 3D renders to add more details. I use Adobe Photoshop software to edit my photos and I use Photoshop to design project mood boards, design montages, or even in designing some design patterns. Photoshop is a paid software but you can get 30 days free trial if you signup on their website. You can learn Photoshop by taking free online lessons or by taking a Photoshop class. Photoshop is easy to learn and it has a unique feature in its mouse cursor that tells you about tools and what they do if you hover it on the top of any tool for a long time.
  • Software for 3D designing: 3D design or 3D renders are a very important part of any project because they give you the ability to see the final visualization of your site even before you start the actual work. With the 3D design, you can make changes in your design if you don’t like anything in 3D then you can save a lot of money in reality. we use many software to make my 3D design but primarily we use Autodesk 3DS Max with Chaos Vray and Google SketchUp pro with Chaos Vray. You can learn both software with practice, but I find Google SketchUp pro with chaos Vray more user-friendly the only problem with SketchUp pro is that it crashes a lot otherwise it gives you very good results, and with practice, you can produce 3D renders at a good speed. Both Google SketchUp and AutoDesk 3DS max are available for free trials by signing to their respective website and Chaos Vray is also available in the trail but you can’t use it all features in the trial version.
  • Software for project estimate and project quotation: There are many software’s available for making project estimates, diagrams, material lists, and presentations. we use Microsoft office to do all our design work. we use Excel to make our project estimates and material charts, we use Powerpoint to make all our diagrams, presentations, and mood boards. And we use Word to write all our design-related blogs and other research material. You can easily learn Microsoft office software or you already know it a bit because it was part of our school curriculum.
